Some of the signals we should never ignore are:

Dry skin: It may mean that the body lacks vitamin E, so just increase intake of food rich in this vitamin like nuts, oily fish or vegetable oils.

Bleeding gums: Deficiency in vitamin C can cause gums to bleed, so eat more fruits, vegetable and garlic, and drink lots of herbal tea.

Brittle nails and hair :This happens when the body lacks vitamin B and calcium, so consume more legumes, potatoes, wheat germ and milk with whole grains.

Dry elbow skin: Deficiency in vitamins A&C can result in dry skin on your elbows. Eat more fruits and vegetable, especially apricots, pumpkin and carrots.

Desire for raw food: Symptom of some liver condition or gastritis. Raw foods reduce cramps and soothe the upset stomach.

Craving for seafood: Lack of iodine

Desire for salty food: Sign of some infection, particularly in the urogenital
system.

Leg cramps, poor sleep, anxiety: Possible signs of potassium and magnesium deficiency. Increase the intake of nuts (almonds, sunflower and linseed) for magnesium and green leafy veggies for potassium (like spinach, chard or kale), as well as plums, apricots and red beet for both trace elements.

Increased desire for sweets: This is a possible symptom of nervous exhaustion, and the body needs glucose for energy. Consume dark chocolate or honey to prevent gastrointestinal problems.

Craving for sour food:The body may need sour food to stimulate the functioning of the liver and the gallbladder. Eat more lemons and cranberries.
