The latest study of Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism’s concluded this information. In the experiment, 36 men and women was included who both consumed 350 calories in total. They were divided in to 3 groups. For breakfast the first ate oatmeal, the other cornflakes, and the third is skipped breakfast and the next three hours drank only water.

They had to record their safety state and in order to monitor the insulin and blood sugar levels they gave blood samples and after that they all got the same lunch.

The group that was less hungry was the one that consumed oatmeal, the facts show that they ate 31% fewer calories at lunch. The other two groups weren’t even close with the statistic that the oatmeal group provided.

In this particular study the second group had the same amount of calories with the oatmeal group and still the results were very different. The reason why is cornflakes cause increase in blood glucose (forcing a sudden and quick drop), on the other hand the oatmeal keeps the stomach full for a longer period of time.

The 31 to 50 percent fewer calories will certainly be felt and noticed over a longer period of time this research is just one of many that confirm how much oatmeal is useful if you want to lose weight.
